The Buy Now button is a clickable call-to-action in the form of a button that kicks off the process of making a purchase. Often, a Buy Now button acts as a shortcut that takes shoppers straight to the online checkout.
A Where to Buy solution helps brands to streamline the consumer journey with a Buy Now button that is placed on their website or digital asset. This brings the consumer directly to online retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, or Target, to complete their purchase.
On product pages, your Buy Now button should appear in a prominent position near the top. This makes the crucial CTA immediately visible. It also requires less scrolling and effort from shoppers who still expect key information to appear above the fold.
A 2022 report on shopping cart abandonment revealed the average cart abandonment rate ranges from 59.2% to 79.8%. In terms of impact on revenue, this equates to $18 billion annually. But convenient Buy Now buttons can help reduce cart abandonment.
Brands will often try to win these prospects over with special offers, short-term discounts and reminders of what is currently sitting in their shopping cart. Marketers who combine these tactics with an eye-catching Buy Now button and a streamlined checkout process can really boost their sales.
eCommerce marketers often use red to create a sense of urgency. It is a colour that can invoke excitement and drive shoppers to act without delay. Some data even suggests that using it on a CTA button will attract more clicks than a more muted colour. Similarly, orange and yellow can also attract attention while also promoting urgency.
A buy button is a shortcut to the checkout process. With the Shopify Buy Button, merchants can generate an embeddable product card and checkout button that can be added to landing pages or blog posts. This gives shoppers direct purchase access to the merchant's product from whatever web page they see the buy button on.

NOTE: Custom PayPal buttons are generated through your Paypal account. Sales via a custom button do not go through the FASO cart. Hence, they will not listed in the Sales and Customers screen and will not receive a FASO sale notification. For custom buttons your client/transaction details will only show in your Paypal account. Sale notifications will come directly from Paypal.
Several features aim to help consumers save time. Buy Now buttons are being introduced on most items, allowing users to purchase directly from a product page without having to go to a cart and separate checkout page.
Once you generate the payment form it creates a link, you will use this link when creating your button. In all the examples below, you will replace the text YOUR LINK HERE with the link you find on your payment form settings page directly below the payment form title.
If you are using your own 'Buy Now' image for your button, it will need to be hosted on an "https" image hosting site. Once hosted they give you a URL link to the image and that is what you will use in the button. There are many free image hosting sites where you can host your image.
You can also code the button to post specific values to fields on the form. When the customer clicks the button, it will populate the specified fields with values of your choice. In this example, the amount, invoice, and description are set to pre-populate. Remember to replace YOUR LINK HERE with your payment form link:
"The next big thing in mobile is 'buy' buttons. We're just at the beginning of transactional mobile commerce. It's clear to us consumers will be able to buy in the apps where they spend the most time," Hubbard said. "What's unique about Twitter is that it's where people already connect with the things that they love."
In the Google Insights images above, you can see the page speed of an Unstack landing page with the Buy Now Button versus an Unstack landing page with its built-in checkout process. The landing page with the Buy Button had a Speed Index of 3.7s, while the landing page with an Unstack checkout button had a speed index of 2.5s. 1.2s may seem like a small difference, but again even a 1s reduction in page speed can increase your bounce rate and lead to a 7% drop in conversions. With an increase in page speed of 0.1 seconds, 1 in 5 retail and luxury sites saw their homepage bounce rates improve by 0.6% and 0.2% respectively.
You can display the Buy Now button for all products or only for specific ones, as well as customize button text, redirect destination, and position. Product-specific settings enable you to set up separate links for each Buy Now button.

The WooCommerce Buy Now button plugin includes global settings for quick integration of your buttons in multiple products and categories. You can customize the following global settings for Buy Now buttons:
This is an awesome plug-in to create simple PayPal buttons with some customization. The Pro version gives you all the features you need when wanting a simple checkout for your buyers, that doesn't need a cart feature. It saves you not having to use PayPal's API to set up auto emails etc. I can now edit things via WP in seconds, instead of having to mess with FTP and all that.
