On January 18th, 2011, a Reddit thread titled "Do your worst :) (FIXED)" linked to a black and white drawing of the expression that would later be used in rage comics as the "are you serious?" face.[1]
Quietly and unnoticed by the world, Taylor passed into eternity on June 2, 2014, two weeks short of his sixty-sixth birthday. Douglas was an editor and typesetter for the Banner of Truth, a faithful gospel publisher in Scotland. Diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer in May of 2011, and told he would have six months to live, Taylor took up his pen and chronicled his path of serious joy, as he walked toward his own fast-approaching mortality.

Recently, a music video caught our attention. It starts out like any other super smokin' hot R&B jam. You know, the type you'd want playing in the background during a hot tub party that you just know is going to spiral into an out of control bone-a-thon. The production value looked high, the beat was decent, and the video had a signature hot girl that looks vaguely like Kim Kardashian. It seemed legit. However, as singer/songwriter/star of the video IceJJFish began displaying his unique moves our state of the art computer that detects fraudulent YouTube videos started going cray-zay. Yeah, it was going so crazy that it was going CRAY-ZAY. Just then, he started singing and that's when we said, "Hold on. Are you serious?" Observe.
What strikes one immediately is that most of these additions seem to be of two types: Gnostic or proto-Gnostic essays and writings that exalt women. Further, what is also striking are books that did not make the cut. Among them are the Shepherd of Hermas, the Didache, the Epistle of Barnabas, First Clement, and other books in the collection known as the Apostolic Fathers. In other words, the books selected by the council were selected with an agenda in mind; they were not chosen because they ever made a serious claim to canonicity. Indeed, as was mentioned above, at least one of them is not even mentioned in any extant ancient writing.
Have Asians been more successful over the past forty years because they are smarter or more virtuous than Latins? There is no evidence of that. But they certainly are more serious, pragmatic, far-sighted and committed.
The central fact is that no good Asian or other ideas or experiences will make any real difference on their own. Latin Americans at all levels of society must be serious, objectively analytical and determined to implement reforms no matter what obstacles are thrown up in their way. Otherwise all conferences and other plans will just be a hurricane of hot air for the Latin American people. 041b061a72
